Turnaround activities begin Monday in LDPE Plant, and in other Pančevo and Elemir plants on 20th March
The production shutdown begins on Monday, 15th March, in the Low Density Polyethylene Plant (LDPE), and it is expected to last 35 days, while the Ethylene and other production plants located in HIP-Petrohemija, Pančevo, and those of the Synthetic Rubber Plant, Elemir, shall be shutdown for 30 days, beginning from Saturday, 20th March.
The most signigficant investment activities shall be directed towards the realization of SCADA EES project, within the process digital transformation programme, and general overhaul of the L-229 extruder within the LDPE Plant, for the first time after more than 40 years of its continual operation. In addition to the investment activities, during this shutdown, the repairing activiites shall also take place on the processing equipment in other petrochemical plants in both locations, Pančevo and Elemir. The scheduled activities shall provide continuation in safe and efficient operation of the company, and all the works shall be performed in accordance with the previously defined schedule.
We underline that all the turnaround activities during the production shutdown in HIP-Petrohemija shall be fully in compliance with the company’s current safety procedures, in order to keep the employees safe and their health protected, and to have working and living environment protected as well. The competent institutions have been informed about the planned turnaround activities.
