Turnaround activities and investment projects realization interrupt HIP-PETROHEMIJA’s production
On Wednesday 20th March, the production will be stopped in the Ethylene and other HIP-Petrohemija’s plants due to turnaround which is planned to be completed until 25th April 2019. The Law Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Plant already stopped the production on 8th March, and the Synthetic Rubber Plant, Elemir, will be stopped on 15th April.
„The most important activities during this turnaround are directed toward realization of the investments, of which the key ones include the Ethylene Plant compressor operation management reinstrumentation and automatization and the LDPE Plant hypercompressor revitalization. Another big investment in 2019, is the HDPE Plant production expansion, the realization of which is planned for this summer“ – said Miša Bulajić, executive director for the function of production and technical support.
The realization of these investment projects, whose total value amounts to approximately EUR 18.3 million will have maximum effect to overall company business. This is the highest sum invested in HIP-Petrohemija during the last 30 years, and the projects are financed from the company’s own resources.
In addition to the activities related to the investment projects, during the production interruption the turnaround activities shall be performed in the Ethylene, HDPE, LDPE plants, as well as on other plants’ process equipment. The planned turnaround activities shall provide continuation of safe and effective operations of the company, and they will be performed in accordance with the previously established schedule.
