After a month-long turnaround HIP-Petrohemija successfully restarted production
The production in HIP-Petrohemija was successfully restarted Thursday, 10 May 2018, when the Ethylene Plant was put into operation. It was followed by restarting the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Plants, Friday, 11 May 2018, when the production of goods for supplying domestic and foreign markets was re-established. All petrochemical plants keep their operations stable and in compliance with the production schedule.
”The production in HIP-Petrohemija was successfully re-started after one-month outage for maintenance activities which were performed on the processing equipment of petrochemical plants in Pančevo. We have successfully completed several investment projects, in order to improve energy efficiency of the production and to lower the production costs, which include the works on heat exchanger T-15 and the tank TK-1101 A in the Ethylene Plant, replacement of the flare stack top and commissioning of the alarm-blockade system for boilers in this plant. Also the egalization pool pipeline was reconstructed in the Waste Water Treatment Plant, and recovery, cleaning and other maintenance activities were performed on the process equipment in the HDPE, LDPE, and Utility plants. The turnaround works in the Synthetic Rubber Plant, Elemir, are expected to be completed 25 May” – says Miša Bulajić, Executive Director for the Function of Production and Technical Support in HIP-Petrohemija.
The production in HIP-Petrohemija was restarted by applying all prescribed safety measures and in accordance with all current procedures of the company and standards referring to working and living environmental protection.
