Nature of business in the chemical industry requires a high level of protection of health and safety at work and is one of the priorities and prerequisites for the success of the company. Special attention is paid to timely education and training of employees to work in a safe manner to minimize the risks of everyday business to the lowest possible level.
HIP Petrohemija has certified occupational health and safety system since 2011. in accordance with the standard OHSAS 18001:2007. The aim of the management system is to achieve the vision, policies and objectives of the company, strategy of development, monitoring national and European regulations, the implementation and promotion of prevention in the field of health and safety, increasing the satisfaction of all parties interested in, as well as winning the leadership of HIP Petrohemija as a socially responsible company on the market .
By plan and program of measures of safety and health protection tasks are defined in terms of organization and work process improvement as well as improvement of safe working conditions. By continuous analysis and management of OHS risks of our processes we achieve reduction of risks for employees and all present persons taking part in the work process.
In order to achieve more efficient and higher quality protection of employees at work, within HIP Petrohemija there has been formed a Committee for safety and health of the employees.
Continually raising the level of security and regular monitoring of the health of their employees, is realized, among other things, through the physical examination and continuous health check of workers in jobs with special working conditions.
