Polyethylene Pipes and Fittings Plant – PETROPLAST
was founded in 1991, representing a practical realization of a
new direction in HIP-Petrohemija's development programme, with
the basic objective to achieve better valorization of its products.
Pipes and fittings are made of the
imported high density polyethylene
PE 100 produced by the bigest European producers, from materials
tested and certificated specifically for gas application.
Petroplast plant
has an up-to-date computerized equipment for butt welding of pipes
and fittings. Specially trained teams and high-quality equipment
represent a garantee for safe assembly.
The production programme of the PE Pipes and
Fittings Plant includes:
Year after year, the usage of polyethylene
pipes for various distribution systems gains increasingly
important position thanks to its numerous advantages of PE pipes
with respect to pipes of other materials:
• low specific mass –
easy transportation and assembly
• good elasticity –
good adaptability to the terrain
• smooth inner
surface – low pressure drops and prevention of deposits on the
internal walls after long usage.
• high corrosion
resistance – excellent resistance to aggressive media and
surrounding soils
• high chemical
resistance – numerous possibilities for transportation of
various fluids
• work temperature up
to +60°C, while in short time intervals temperatures may achieve
+80°C
• resistance to low
temperatures
• possibility of
jointing with welding
• fittings are
produced of the same material as pipes which ensures an
especially safe and effective joint
• high quality which
guarantees a long lasting usability
