On Wednesday, November 30th CIRIC AND KRAVCHENKO IN PETROHEMIJA Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Nebojsa Ciric, and NIS CEO, Kirill Kravchenko, with their close associates visited Petrohemija Wednesday, Nov. 30, in regard to recent Agreement on Strategic Cooperation signed between HIP-Petrohemija and NIS. First they joined an organized tour to the High Density Polyethylene Plant (HDPE), and then took part in a press conference where the Agreement was presented by Ciric, Kravchenko and Petrohemija’s CEO, Sasa Pavlov. They all expressed their beliefs that the signed Agreement on Strategic Cooperation makes a ground for Petrohemija profitable operations in future with no losses after 2014.

Petrohemija's Ethylene plant was put into operation
in 1979 in accordance with the design of Stone&Webster
(USA), for thermal decomposition of virgin naphtha. The plant
for pyrolytic gasoline hydrogenation was designed by Institut
Français Du Pétrole (IFP), France .
Designed annual capacities are as follows (in tons) :
Ethylene – for production of polyethylene, ethylene glycol,
ethylene oxide, ethylene dichloride, ethyl alcohol, etc.
Propylene – for production of polypropylene, EPDM, propylene
dichloride, propylene oxide, propylene glycol, propyl alcohol,
propyl acetate, acryl nitrile, etc.
C4-Fraction – for production of synthetic rubber, latex, synthetic
resins, polybutadiene rubber, ABS-powder, etc.
Pyrolysis oil – for production of carbon black
Pyrolysis gasoline – for production of aromates and engine
gasolines
