FIRST STEP MADE
The Government of the Republic of Serbia on its session Thursday, December 15, 2011, adopted a Budget Act proposal for 2012. This proposal contains, among other issues, guarantee issuance by the Republic of Serbia in the favour of the business bank as a security for providing a loan for financing the first phase of the investments program in 2012, which includes capacity expansion of HIP Petrohemija’s polyethylene plants, the amount of investment being EUR 27,000,000. ...

CIRIC AND KRAVCHENKO IN PETROHEMIJA
Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Nebojsa Ciric, and NIS CEO, Kirill Kravchenko, with their close associates visited Petrohemija Wednesday, Nov. 30, in regard to recent Agreement on Strategic Cooperation signed between HIP-Petrohemija and NIS.
First they joined an organized tour to the High Density Polyethylene Plant (HDPE), and then took part in a press conference where the Agreement was presented by Ciric, Kravchenko and Petrohemija’s CEO, Sasa Pavlov. They all expressed their beliefs that the signed Agreement on Strategic Cooperation makes a ground for Petrohemija profitable operations in future with no losses after 2014.

UTILITY PLANT - Energy Fluids Production and Distribution Plant

UTILITY PLANT, designed by Foster Wheeler Co. , USA , supplies all the plants of HIP-Petrohemija with the required energy fluids and utilities. The following fluids are available:

  • steam of 38 bar, 14.5 bar and 3.5 bar (maximum 240 t/h)
  • instrumental and process air of 7 bar with the dew point of -40o C (maximum 10,000 Nm3/h) 
  • demineralized water (maximum 400 m3/h) 
  • decarbonated water (maximum 1,590 m3/h) 
  • cooling water (maximum 26,000 m3/h)
  • firefighting water (maximum 1,080 m3/h)
  • fuel oil prepared as fuel (maximum 40m3/h)

Continual operation of this Plant, as well as the quality and quantity of its products are preconditions for smooth and efficient operation of all other production plants within HIP-Petrohemija.

From time to time the Utility Plant also supplies the nearby Fertilizer Plant and NIS Oil Refinery Pančevo with demineralized water and steam.
