FIRST STEP MADE
The Government of the Republic of Serbia on its session Thursday, December 15, 2011, adopted a Budget Act proposal for 2012. This proposal contains, among other issues, guarantee issuance by the Republic of Serbia in the favour of the business bank as a security for providing a loan for financing the first phase of the investments program in 2012, which includes capacity expansion of HIP Petrohemija’s polyethylene plants, the amount of investment being EUR 27,000,000. ...

CIRIC AND KRAVCHENKO IN PETROHEMIJA
Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Nebojsa Ciric, and NIS CEO, Kirill Kravchenko, with their close associates visited Petrohemija Wednesday, Nov. 30, in regard to recent Agreement on Strategic Cooperation signed between HIP-Petrohemija and NIS.
First they joined an organized tour to the High Density Polyethylene Plant (HDPE), and then took part in a press conference where the Agreement was presented by Ciric, Kravchenko and Petrohemija’s CEO, Sasa Pavlov. They all expressed their beliefs that the signed Agreement on Strategic Cooperation makes a ground for Petrohemija profitable operations in future with no losses after 2014.

The greatest value of „HIP-Petrohemija“ a.d. Pancevo – under restructuring is qualified and broadly educated personnel ,by which the company has become well-known even abroad.Professional people from various fields make our team-one fifth of the employees is university educated personnel and more than a half of the employees has secondary school education. Built up during more than three decades, often under conditions and circumstances for which never before there had been any opportunity to be experienced by anyone else within this branch of industry,they permanently enriched their enthusiasm and wish for expansion of knowledge with the new experiences and confirmed in practice.Thanks to the employees and more than 30 years long market experience,“HIP-Petrohemija“ has become a synonym for one of the leading exporters in the country.   

Employees' education represents a strategic activity, to mhich in "HIP-Petrohemija" there has been paying great attention from the very beginning. Apart from attending professional meetings all over the planet,where representatives from „HIP-Petrohemija“ are collecting information on the newest achievements and trends in the fields of interest for business, or promoting the Company, training in the strict meaning of the word takes place internally and externally, in various fields – from informatics, marketing and foreign languages,  new regulations in foreign-trade business, to protection at work, environment protection and handling of dangerous materials.

Besides taking care of education,in „HIP-Petrohemija“ the employees' social and health care have an equally important position.The HIP-Petrohemija employees' health care comprises regular general and specialist checkups in a specialized clinic, medical education,and special conveniences for going in for sports at the local town's sport grounds.By collective insurance all the employees are insured day and night with life-insurance , as well as against work induced injuries.

Under the social dimension of the HIP-Petrohemija's care for employees there are to be understood strengthening of the mutual confidence and of the feeling that they would not find themselves alone in trouble. The company and the employees finance funds which means are used for various ways of assistance to the employees– from spa treatments and purchasing of medicines, to assistance in the unforeseen life situations (the Solidarity Fund has been existing for more than 25 years). Neither retired employees, nor their families, and especially the children of the deceased workers are not forgotten, which is all part of the organized concern for all those who are today, or ever had been,a part of the company.

                                       

Within the restructuring process in "HIP-Petrohemija" the employees' number reduction program is taking place, so that during the year 2009.the number of employees was decreased by 566 workers who were mainly declared as redundancy workers,and with their severance pay they left the company. Today "HIP-Petrohemija" employs 1.795 people,among who about 20%  are experts being university educated or having two year post secondary school,and more than a half are secondary school educated.
