Employees' education represents a strategic activity,
to mhich in "HIP-Petrohemija" there has been paying great attention
from the very beginning. Apart from attending professional meetings
all over the planet,where representatives from „HIP-Petrohemija“ are
collecting information on the newest achievements and trends in the
fields of interest for business, or promoting the Company, training
in the strict meaning of the word takes place internally and
externally, in various fields – from informatics, marketing and
foreign languages, new regulations in foreign-trade business, to
protection at work, environment protection and handling of dangerous
materials.
Besides taking care of education,in
„HIP-Petrohemija“ the employees' social and health care have an
equally important position.The HIP-Petrohemija employees' health
care comprises regular general and specialist checkups in a
specialized clinic, medical education,and special conveniences for
going in for sports at the local town's sport grounds.By collective
insurance all the employees are insured day and night with
life-insurance , as well as against work induced injuries.
Under the social dimension of the HIP-Petrohemija's
care for employees there are to be understood strengthening of the
mutual confidence and of the feeling that they would not find
themselves alone in trouble. The company and the employees finance
funds which means are used for various ways of assistance to the

assistance in the unforeseen life situations (the Solidarity Fund
has been existing for more than 25 years). Neither retired

Within the restructuring process in
"HIP-Petrohemija" the employees' number reduction program is taking
place, so that during the year 2009.the number of employees was
decreased by 566 workers who were mainly declared as redundancy
workers,and with their severance pay they left the company. Today
"HIP-Petrohemija" employs 1.795 people,among who about 20% are
experts being university educated or having two year post secondary
school,and more than a half are secondary school educated.
